You are a foreigner who wants to buy a property, work or simply retire in Switzerland. The notary is competent:
- to draft the purchase document for your property and give you all legal and other information necessary for a proper understanding of the Swiss system and the scope of your obligations. He can do so on the strength of his legal and linguistic knowledge. If necessary, he calls in the help of a serious and competent translator;
- to apply for a residence permit for work or retirement reasons. He can, if necessary via a specialised lawyer’s office, examine your tax situation in order to find the best possible solution for you with respect to the law in your home country, the Swiss law and any conventions between the two countries or agreements between Switzerland and the European Union;
- to help you, if you have bought a property in Switzerland and/or hold a residence permit, with all administrative and legal formalities to be fulfilled in our country.
